This past November we released the iPhone app, and now it is Android’s turn.
A lot of you have asked for Android support, and we have promised support for it for a while now, so here it is! In fact I think the app is slightly better than the iPhone version. We have included support for an upcoming firmware release which will improve the caddy’s performance, as well as the app’s responsiveness, but in general the apps are almost identical.
The app is deployed on the Google Play site (click on the Google Play badge below to see details).
It is also available from Amazon for the Kindle Fire.

We hope you like it.

This version for android is fantastic! Better than I had anticipated. Works perfectly on my Galaxy SIII.
Seems to work great… suggestions – when a program is set to run every x days you can’t tell when its next day to run is from the app, being able to access the calendar view would be handy, and add an exit button the the app!
I don’t see this available in the Amazon kindle fire store. When will it be available?
Amazon is taking its time in approving the app. The app is ready to go in their store, but it is pending their approval.
Amazon just approved the app, it is now live for the kind fire here: http://www.amazon.com/IrrigationCaddy-com-AICMobile/dp/B00AZAGGK8/ref=sr_1_1?s=mobile-apps&ie=UTF8&qid=1358974091&sr=1-1
Just what I have been waiting for! I upgraded my Irrigation Caddy firmware today to ICEthS1-1.3.223 and instated the Android App on my Samsung Galaxy SIII. I would also like to see an exit button of sorts. Also the application name below my icon says “Devices”. Shouldn’t it say “IrrigationCaddy” or something? Looks weird when looking at a list of my apps to have an app called “Devices”.
Good to know, it should say AICMobile on the Android version. Thanks we ll fix that.
Looks great. However a few issues:
- Like Dan I see the app listed as “Devices”
- Any action seems to open a new window. Using the back button goes back through all the screens previously opened instead of going back to the main list of devices
- In the list of programs as well as in the Run Now section, the settings menu opens nothing
- The info section opens the list of zones without possibility to modify them
- I opened Program 1. The Total Run Time is 53 hr 18 min with all the zones set at 0 mins. The sliders are not progressive at all. The very first position is 9 mins, impossible to set anything shorter. Then it jumps to 18 mins, 32 mins,… It goes all the way to 53 hr 18 min. Why? Who uses that? Impossible to use, had to go in a Web browser.

Hi Pierre,
Thanks for the feedback.
The settings button does not open anything at the moment, but there will be an update to the app that will include the ability to change the caddy’s settings when opening the settings menu.
The info section is intended to be read only, it shows the current status for the system and each one of the zones. When a program is running the zones change to indicate which ones are OFF, which ones are WAITING to Run, and which zone is running and how far along it is.
On your last point where you had issues with the sliders because the time was too high, you can do the following to fix that:
1. On a web browser open the caddy interface and go to settings -> Other
2. Uncheck the “Use #10 as Master Valve” checkbox, and save.
3. Now go into each program and zero out zone #10.
4. Now go back to settings and re-enable “Use #10 as Master Valve” and save.
That should fix the issue,
Thanks for all the other feedback as well.
